Established in 2006, Dancin' Jazzi is Austin's first black-owned and operated dance studio. Under the direction of Founder and Artistic Director, Melanie Smith, our studio offers a variety of dance classes where students of all ages and skill levels can learn the art of dance in joyful, creative, and comforting environment.

Out tha Box Productions is our non-profit organization which sponsors a variety of performance opportunities for our students, including —

FLAVA Dance Company;
The Other Nutcracker, our annual Christmas production;
The Sounds of Blackness, A Celebration of Black History, which unites our Company dancers with members of the community to produce a Black History lesson using song, dance and spoken word.
